QUEST
An ongoing inquiry into The Human Advantage through intuitive encounters, research, and writing.
What waits to be discovered beyond our existing perceptions and narratives?
Our existing perceptions and narratives shape far more than what we realize. They shape what we consider possible. The choices we notice. The questions we ask. What we learn from our experiences. How we understand ourselves and others. What we create. And ultimately, how we live and make a difference.
Yet much of what we perceive as reality has already been shaped for us through our families, cultures, education, experiences, beliefs, and the assumptions we have accumulated along the way. We learn to see the world in particular ways.
And then, quite naturally, we begin to mistake the edges of our perception and the narratives we have accepted for the edges of reality itself. This is where my Quest begins.
THE QUESTION
For years, one question has been taking different forms in my work:
How do we build the capacity to see beyond the edges of what we have learned to perceive?
Not because everything we have learned is wrong. And not because there is some ultimate version of reality waiting for us to discover it.
But because we cannot choose possibilities we cannot see. And when our expectations determine too much of what we are prepared to perceive, life has less room to surprise us.
I am interested in what happens when those edges become a little less fixed. What else becomes visible? What else becomes possible? And how does that impact the quality of our lives?

THE HUMAN ADVANTAGE
I have come to think of The Human Advantage as the uniquely human capacity to move beyond the algorithms and continually refine our relationship with reality by cultivating the quality of our perception and, ultimately, the quality of our lives and our contribution.
This is not simply about thinking better.
Thinking matters enormously. But thinking always begins with something we have already perceived, noticed, assumed, felt, experienced, or been taught to consider relevant. This made me ask more questions and explore more edges.
PERCEPTION LITERACY
I became increasingly interested in what comes before the thought. What are we able to perceive in the first place?
What have we learned not to notice?
What do our existing assumptions make visible or invisible? And can our capacity to perceive itself be cultivated?
I have begun to think of this capacity as Perception Literacy. Not a technique or a finished framework, but an emerging way of thinking about our ability to notice, question, expand, and continually refine the relationship between what we perceive and what may actually be there.
BEYOUND IDEAS
This Quest did not begin as a philosophical exercise. It emerged from experience.
Over the years, I have taken part in encounters that challenged what I thought I knew about people, relationships, systems, intuition, and reality itself. Some happened through Family and Systemic Constellations. Some through conversations or group experiences. Others arrived unexpectedly in ordinary life.
I don't have explanations for all of them. That is precisely why they matter to me. Rather than fitting them immediately into what I already believe, I want to stay close to what actually happened and ask what these experiences might reveal.
That is also why this Quest has two inseparable parts: Encountering reality. And then... reflecting on what we encountered without reducing it too quickly to what we already know.

WHY DOES ANY OF THIS MATTER?
Expanding perceptions and narratives is not the destination. Life is.
Because, if we can perceive more, perhaps we can recognize possibilities that previously remained unseen. Perhaps we can relate differently to people and situations we thought we already understood. Perhaps we can create differently. Choose differently. Contribute differently. And perhaps something else happens too. Life becomes surprising again.
For me, some of these encounters have brought moments of feeling profoundly alive- more connected, present, curious, and filled with wonder than anything else I have experienced. They have reenchanted my relationship with life. And that has become what's most important in this Quest.
AN ONGOING INQUIRY
I don't know where this Quest will lead.
And I don't want to know ahead of time. If I use these experiences merely to confirm what I already believe, the inquiry has failed. So this space will evolve. Some ideas will become clearer. Others may disappear. New questions will replace old ones. Experiences may challenge concepts I currently find useful.
You can follow that unfolding through my Writings, where I record encounters and explore the questions and ideas emerging from them.
Or you can step beyond reading and participate through Encounters - individual and collective opportunities to explore what might become visible beyond the familiar edges of our personal and collective perceptions and narratives.
